School Closed

School was closed today doe the 4 year old class due to the weather.

School will also be closed tomorrow (Tuesday October 30th) for the 3 year old class. Their Halloween Party will be on Thursday November 1st.

4 Year Old - Week 4

This week we were focusing on the letter Ss, this has been the hardest letter for them to write so far. They are showing improving each time we practice. Also, this week we started our Halloween Lanterns! They had a blast creating these cute lanterns.

3 Year Old - Week 4

This week we were focusing on the letter Ss, this has been the trickiest letter for them to write so far. They are improving greatly each time we practice. Also, this week we started our Halloween Lanterns! They had a blast creating these cute lanterns.

4 Year Old - Week 2

The four year old class is quickly adjusting to the routine. They know most of the words to our daily songs already and are making great progress with the Pledge. This week we are focusing on the number one, the color red, the circle, and the letter 'Pp'. Here is our art project from today to go with the letter Pp.

3 Year Old - Week 2

Everyone in the three year old class is adjusting well to the routine. We are still working on learning all of the words to our daily songs and to the Pledge. This week we are focusing on the number one, the color red, the circle, and the letter 'Pp'. Here is our art project for the Letter Pp from Tuesday.

The First Week!

The first week of Preschool at Inquisitive Minds Academy went very well! Everyone is already adjusting to the routine here at preschool. We are still working on learning all of our daily songs such as our days of the week song and our months of the year song. We are also working on learning to Pledge the Flag. They are all such wonderful children to work with and I am looking forward to week two!

First Day: 3 Year Old

The First day for the 3 Year Old class went very well! They all had a wonderful time while I introduced them to the daily routine activities. They enjoyed our days of the week and months of the year songs. We went over colors and numbers 1-10 and reviewed shapes that they already knew and talked about some new shapes. They did very well with reciting the alphabet and their corresponding sounds. They loved jumping around as we acted out the five little monkeys! They did great while listening for words that begin with the /m/ sounds and finding different shapes and colors around the room. 

Today we also had a birthday celebration for Emma. She brought cupcakes from home and we all sang Happy Birthday to her during our daily meeting. Happy Birthday Emma!

First Day: 4 Year Old

The first day for the 4 Year Old class went very well today! They had a great time with all of the fun activities that we did. They were introduced to their days of the week and months of the year song, along with other daily routine activities. We reviewed colors and numbers 1-10. We went over shapes and the alphabet with their corresponding sounds. Also, we acted out the five little monkeys, had story time, art (a step by step drawing of a monkey for the letter Mm), and they did some puzzles at the end of class.
